***On Tuesday, December 16, 2008, Big Rapids Department of Public Safety Officers responded to a complaint in the 400 block of South Michigan Ave.***According to a police log the father of one of the young men at the residence called the police to report that his son had been assaulted by his roommates.*** When Officers responded to the residence to take a report the young man refused to pursue the case.***Meanwhile, the roommates contacted the police department to give their sides of the story.***The young mans father then showed up from Lansing to move his son out of the residents.***While on scene the father allegedly confronted and threatened the roommates with a metal rod from a desk.***Now officers say everyone denies everything***The case was turned over to the city attorneys office for review.***Big Rapids .biz is your Big Rapids Michigan Online News Magazine.***Read more police logs in the Blotter section of the website.***

 Big Rapids MI - On September 19. 2008, Mecosta County Sheriff Deputies responded to Ryan Creek Apartments in Big Rapids.

 According to Jason Koepke at the Sheriff's Department, a man forced his way into his girlfriend's apartment and assaulted her and left the scene.

 The police captured and arrested the boyfriend as he was fleeing. He will be charged with, violation of a conditional bond release, trespass, unlawful entry and domestic assault.

His name will not be released until after his arraignment.
