***On Tuesday, December 16, 2008, Big Rapids Department of Public Safety Officers responded to a complaint in the 400 block of South Michigan Ave.***According to a police log the father of one of the young men at the residence called the police to report that his son had been assaulted by his roommates.*** When Officers responded to the residence to take a report the young man refused to pursue the case.***Meanwhile, the roommates contacted the police department to give their sides of the story.***The young mans father then showed up from Lansing to move his son out of the residents.***While on scene the father allegedly confronted and threatened the roommates with a metal rod from a desk.***Now officers say everyone denies everything***The case was turned over to the city attorneys office for review.***Big Rapids .biz is your Big Rapids Michigan Online News Magazine.***Read more police logs in the Blotter section of the website.***

 Mecosta County MI - On 10/15/08 around 7:00 A.M. the Mecosta County Sheriff's Department Investigated an incident on Northland Dr., North of Lincoln Rd.

 A Morley man riding his bike northbound in the traffic lane on Northland drive was hit by a 2 door red Ford that was also traveling north in the trafic lane.

 According to Deputy Kevin Hall the driver of the red Ford stopped and gave the injured bicyclist a ride to work where a co-worker then took him to the Mecosta County Hospital where he was treated for his injuries.

Deputies are still investigating the incident.
