***On Tuesday, December 16, 2008, Big Rapids Department of Public Safety Officers responded to a complaint in the 400 block of South Michigan Ave.***According to a police log the father of one of the young men at the residence called the police to report that his son had been assaulted by his roommates.*** When Officers responded to the residence to take a report the young man refused to pursue the case.***Meanwhile, the roommates contacted the police department to give their sides of the story.***The young mans father then showed up from Lansing to move his son out of the residents.***While on scene the father allegedly confronted and threatened the roommates with a metal rod from a desk.***Now officers say everyone denies everything***The case was turned over to the city attorneys office for review.***Big Rapids .biz is your Big Rapids Michigan Online News Magazine.***Read more police logs in the Blotter section of the website.***

 Morley MI - On Monday October 20, 2008, a man driving southbound on Northland Dr. near the village of Morley around 6:45 p.m., is believed to have attempted to abduct a 15 year old girl.

 According to the Reed City State Police the man told the girl that he was lost driving from Lansing to Cadillac . He was driving a dark colored sports utility vehicle and has short hair.

 Anyone with information or who recognizes the police composite sketch should call the Michigan State Police Reed City Post at 231-832-2221.
