***On Tuesday, December 16, 2008, Big Rapids Department of Public Safety Officers responded to a complaint in the 400 block of South Michigan Ave.***According to a police log the father of one of the young men at the residence called the police to report that his son had been assaulted by his roommates.*** When Officers responded to the residence to take a report the young man refused to pursue the case.***Meanwhile, the roommates contacted the police department to give their sides of the story.***The young mans father then showed up from Lansing to move his son out of the residents.***While on scene the father allegedly confronted and threatened the roommates with a metal rod from a desk.***Now officers say everyone denies everything***The case was turned over to the city attorneys office for review.***Big Rapids .biz is your Big Rapids Michigan Online News Magazine.***Read more police logs in the Blotter section of the website.***

 Stanwood MI - On Sunday October 26, 2008, Deputies from the Mecosta County Sheriff's Department took a Breaking and Entering complaint on 12 mile road and 185th ave.

 According to Deputy Jason Koepke, suspects broke into the home and made off with power tools, tv, speakers, a laptop computer and a bedroom mattress.

 Anyone that has information that could help solve this crime can contact Deputy Koepke at the Mecosta County Sheriff's Office 231-598-2887
