Third for a minor accident where a 38-year-old Paris man was driving to fast for road conditions when he ran off the road and smashed his vehicle into a utility pole, the man suffered a bloody nose and refused medical treatment from EMS. 10:38 a.m., officers report to an accident on State and Pere Marquette. A 51-year-old Hersey man changed lanes and smashed into a vehicle driven by a 20-year-old Marion man. No injuries, and ticket was issued.
12:57 p.m., NSF that occurred in the 900 block of Rose.
3:09 p.m., officers respond to a Dog at Large complaint in the 400 block of 2nd Ave. A 21-year-old Big Rapids man was cited for Dog at Large.

11:35 p.m., officers investigate an assault case in the 900 block of Maple. It was discovered that a 20-year-old Big Rapids man was assaulted by a 47-year-old Big Rapids man. Officers arrested the suspect and lodged him at the Mecosta County Jail.
