At 9:30 a.m. officers report to the malice destruction of property to a house in the 300 block of 2nd ave.
At 9:44 a.m. a fugitive was arrested in the 200 block of W. Madison. A 39 year old man was lodged at the Mecosta County Jail.
At 9:47 a.m. officers investigate a Larceny of a UPS package in the 200 Block of South State St. the report was made by a 21 year on woman.
At 2:33 p.m. officers investigate a breaking and entering in the 300 block of South State St. force was used to enter the apartment and trash, food, etc. was strewn about the apartment.
At 3:42 p.m. Someone reported finding a bag of marijuana in a business parking lot.

At 3:21 p.m. An assault was reported in the 200 block of S Michigan. Still under
investigation.
At 3:21 p.m. officers respond to a hit and run property damage accident that took place the night before in the 300 block of South Michigan. Unknown suspect vehicle.
Monday February 02, 2009
At 7:17 a.m. a larceny from an auto was reported in the 300 Block of 2nd. Stereo was taken.
At 10:00 a.m. another larceny from an auto was reported in the 300 block of 2nd. Stereo was also taken.
At 11:37 a.m. a larceny of wood pallets was reported in the 1300 block of East Maple Ave. Suspect
vehicles: a full size possible Chevy pick-up, two tone green and silver, 4x4, with running lights on top of the cab. S-10 pick-up. two tone, black and silver. 2 unknown subjects in a full size truck and one unknown subject in the S-10.
At 1:51 p.m. a harassment complaint was made in front of the dollar store in the 200 block of N. Michigan. Argument over money owed or not owed.
At 3:16 p.m. an embezzlement was reported in the 100 block of N. Michigan.
At 4:32 p.m. officers responded to a property damage accident on State and Elm, an 18 year old man from Oswego IL, was turning left from Elm St. onto State St. when he smashed into a northbound vehicle on State St. That vehicle was driven by a 36 year old Big Rapids woman. No injuries were reported and the 18 year old driver was cited for failure to yield.
