 At 9:44 a.m. property damage accident at Perry and Watertower. A 21 year old Remus man failed to yield at a stop sign and smashed into a vehicle driven by a 26 year old Big Rapids woman. No injuries and the man was cited.

 At 11:54 a.m. a warrant arrest of a 25 year old man in the 1100 block of Fuller.

 At 7:20 p.m. officers were called to a possible fight/disorderly in the 300 block of W Waterloo. A 22 year old Big Rapids man was arrested for obstruction.

 At 12:05 a.m. minor in possession of alcohol in the 700 Block of Perry St./18 yr old woman from White Cloud was cited.

 Car Crash - 2 vehicles traveling westbound on Maple, a vehicle in the right lane advised she attempted to change lanes to turn into Curries BP, at the same time the second vehicle was passing her on the left. The second vehicle gave name and phone number, but '''had to''' leave the scene for a funeral so matter remains under investigation.

 At 3:40 p.m. a Larceny of a rifle was reported in the 200 block of Morrison.

 At 11:55 p.m. a personal property damage accident was reported at 825 Watertower. A 23 year old Passion Cook from Big Rapids lost control of her car on the ice and smashed into a building.

 At 3:14 a.m. officers respond to disorderly subjects in the 200 Block of S. State St.

Sunday March 1, 2009

 At 11:50 a.m. a breaking and entering was reported in the 400 block of S. Warren. Subject advised that sometime between 2:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., someone entered the residence (doors were unlocked)
and removed video games, computer, and snowboards. Numerous people have been in and out of the house during the night and this morning, however all parties are known by homeowners.

 State and Perry crash - At 9:20 p.m. A 49 year old Morley man was southbound on State when a 20 year old Muskegon man, failed to yield at the intersection turning WB onto Perry in front of the Morley man. The 20 year was cited.

 At 10:26 p.m. a check well-being took place in the 400 Block of Division.

 At 6:30 p.m. a Larceny report was taken at the Big Rapids Department of public safety building. The said crime occurred in the 500 block of North Michigan Ave.

 Malice destruction of property - in the 500 block of N. Warren, occurred on Friday. Someone spray painted "skateboarding isn't a crime" on a wall.
