March 6-8 Officers Handle A Threat Complaint And Make An Arrest

 At 9:15 a.m. possible VCSA taken in the 400 block of S. Michigan. A cleaning guy found a bag of pre scri ption pills in the womens bathroom.

 At 9:29 a.m. property damage accident on South State St., north of Sanborn. A 28 year old Big Rapids woman rear ended a 52 year old Big Rapids woman. Both vehicles were southbound. No injuries and citation issued.

 At 9:29 a.m. hit and run property damage accident on northbound State St. in front of Rite Aid. The suspect vehicle was a white Cavalier 4dr with a white female college age driver with front passenger headlight damage.

 At 12:17 p.m. Threats were reported in the 600 block of Marion. Victim received through emails.
Still under investigation

 At 12:55 p.m. a civil complaint was reported in the 200 block of Morrison. Complainant did not show.

 At 1:44 p.m. OWI/open container, improper plates Milton near Louden. A 32 year old female was arrested and lodged at the Mecosta County Jail.

 At 2:30 p.m. NSF taken at the Big Rapids Department of Public Safety building.

 At 3:51 p.m. officers made a warrant arrest in the 400 block of Fuller Ave.

 At 3:59 p.m. a fail to pay for gas was reported in the 800 block of North Admiral, still under investigation.

 At 5:15 p.m. officers responded to a dog at large complaint in the 200 block of Rose.

 At 5:17 p.m. officers report to a property damage accident on Maple and Michigan, a 45 year old Big Rapids man was westbound on Maple when he failed to stop in time to avoid a 42 year old Mecosta man.

 At 9:09 p.m. a barking dog was reported in the 300 block of South Bronson.

Saturday March 7, 2009

 At 11:30 a.m. officers take a breaking and entering report in the 200 block of North 3rd street. No suspects at this time. Still under investigation.

 At 1:36 p.m. officers take another breaking and entering report in the 700 block of Osceola. Still under investigation. Stolen check for 255.78. Still under investigation.

 At 9:00 p.m. a 17 year old Big Rapids woman was cited for being a minor in possession of alcohol in the 600 block of Oak.

 At 9:36 p.m. officers report to a domestic assault in the 800 block of Marion. A 29 year old woman was
assaulted by her boyfriend, a 28 year old Big Rapids man, who had left the scene prior to officers arrival, Still under investigation.

 At 11:04 p.m. officers investigate a disorderly subject in the 700 Block of Perry St.

 At 1:31 a.m. a noise complaint was made in the 300 block of Morrison, resulted in a citation being
issued.

 A Warrant arrest was made in the 500 block of south State St.

No other significant calls for service.
