Monday November 16, 2009

 12:22 p.m., accident on Maple near Michigan. Both vehicles were westbound and one did not stop in time, and smashed into the rear of the other vehicle.

 2:34 p.m., officers report to a retail fraud in the 1200 block of Perry Ave. A 17-year-old Big Rapids woman was issued an appearance citation.

 2:54 p.m., officers investigate a larceny of a laptop in the 100 block of Locust St. Occurred Saturday evening. No suspects.

 3:11 p.m., officer respond to a civil complaint in the 400 block of Elm.

 6:10 p.m., officers investigate a personal property damage accident in the 600 block of S. State st.

Tuesday November 17, 2009

 11:20 a.m., officers respond to an accident on State and east Pere Marquette. An 18-year-old Evart man failed to yield, while making a left turn, he smashed into a 22-year-old Reed City man. No injuries and a ticket was issued.

 11:26 a.m., malicious destruction of property was reported in Tioga Park. Three trees, 2 evergreen bushes, and two plastic slats to a fence for the dumpster was damaged. Officers believe the crime took place on Sunday morning and the complainant would like extra patrols through Tioga Park.

 2:09 p.m., officers investigate a traffic hazard. A vehicle was illegally parked on Maple. Officers found a subject in the vehicle and a parking ticket was issued.

 9:09 p.m., officers respond to an accident on South Knollview. A 21-year-old woman from Muskegon smashed into a 20-year-old woman from Ann Arbor while she was stopped for traffic. Minor damage and no injuries.

Wednesday November 18, 2009

 8:00 a.m., officers report to an accident on State and Locust. An 18-year-old Sears woman failed to stop in time and smacked into a vehicle driven by a 66-year-old Mecosta man. A ticket was issued and no injuries were reported.

 8:40 a.m., officer investigate a hit and run accident on State and Sanborn. A 17-year-old was southbound on S.State when she was sideswiped by a vehicle that left the scene. Still under investigation.

 2:45 p.m., officers perform an assist for a probation/parole violation in the 1000 block of Henderson.   A 31-year-old Big Rapids man was arrested for a felon in Possession of a firearm.

 2:39 p.m., officers are on an accident on Baldwin and Fourth. No injuries and minor damage.

 Officers investigate a stalking complaint that was reported at the station. A 32-year-old Big Rapids woman said she is being stalked by a 25-year-old Big Rapids man. The woman is pursuing a "personal protection order."

 Officers investigate the larceny of two backpacks that took place on Monday in the 200 block of N Warren.

 6:45 p.m., officers investigate a missing person case. A 75-year-old man was missing in the city around 3:00 pm. He was found in a local business around 8:37 p.m..

 At 9:43 p.m., a Noise/fireworks complaint was reported in the 300 block of Ives. UTL

 11:28 p.m., officers make a warrant arrest.

 1:56 a.m., officers do an area check in the 100 block of N. Third st.

Thursday November 19, 2009

 6:47 a.m., officers respond to an accident on Michigan and Maple. A 19-year-old White Cloud man failed to stop in time and smashed into a vehicle driven by a 47-year-old Stanwood woman. No injuries were reported and a ticket was issued.

 9:08 a.m., a civil domestic was reported in the 700 block of Osceola.

 9:50 a.m., officers respond to an accident on State, south of Perry. A 21-year-old Stanwood woman was driving north on south State st. when she smashed into the rear of a vehicle driven by a 19-year-old Gaylord woman. No injuries and a ticket was issued.

 10:34 a.m., officers take a report of a domestic that occurred in the 800 block of N. State last Thursday.

 12:12 p.m., officers investigate a fraud complaint in the 100 block of W. Waterloo.

 12:31 p.m., officers report to a civil in the 400 block of Second Ave..

 2:43 p.m., accident on Maple and Michigan.  A 30-year-old Big Rapids woman was cited for an unsafe lane change, expired ops, and no current proof of insurance.

 12:30 a.m., officers make a warrant arrest in the 700 block of S. State St.

 1:18 a.m., officers respond to a noise compliant in the 800 block of N. Fourth.

 2:18 a.m., officers report to a civil compliant in the 800 block of Tioga Park.

 3:01 a.m., officer investigate a minor in possession of alcohol in the 400 block of S. Michigan.

 3:23 a.m., officers do a citizen assist in the 600 block of S. State.
