Big Rapids Police Blotter For Tuesday March 16, 2010

Tuesday March 16, 2010 

 8:11 a.m., officers investigate the Larceny of tobacco products in the 800 block of N. State St. This happened yesterday. Under investigation.

 1:48 p.m., officers respond to a "Minor" personal injury accident on S. State and Fuller. All vehicles were northbound at the time of the crash. A 47-year-old Newaygo woman failed to stop in time and smashed into a vehicle driven by a 23-year-old Kentwood woman. Another vehicle driven by a 22-year-old Bay City man, waiting to make a left turn onto Fuller, was also struck. One person was transported to the Mecosta County Medical Center by EMS.

 2:37 p.m. officers report to a "Suspicious Situation". A man in a green pick-up truck asked if a student wanted a ride. This took place in the 200 block of Linden. Still under investigation.

 2:43 p.m., officers respond to State and Ferris where an accident took place. A 20-year-old Morley woman was driving southbound when she decided to change lanes. She smashed into a vehicle driven by a 22-year-old Big Rapids woman. No injuries and a ticket was issued.

 4:59 p.m., officers reported to Kmart on Perry Ave. where a shoplifting took place. A woman was arrested for stealing shoes and make-up. She was lodged at the Mecosta County Jail.

 6:47 p.m., officers check the well being of a person in the 400 block of Division. A verbal argument was taking place between a man and a woman. The children were found to be fine. The woman did not live there and later left.

 8:00 p.m., officers respond to a "Domestic" dispute in the 100 Block of N. Michigan. An ex-boyfriend came to a residence and the woman there locked the door. The ex left. Then the ex was stopped by officers. He was issued a no trespass warning and several traffic tickets.

 4:15 a.m., office investigate a false alarm in the 1200 block of Perry St.
