2:37 p.m., OFFICERS INVESTIGATE THE LARCENY OF A PLANT FROM OUTSIDE OF A STORE in the 200 block of S. Michigan. THE CRIME TOOK PLACE SOMETIME IN THE AM.
2:33 a.m., officers investigate the Larceny of $20 from a residence in the 200 block of Ives Ave. The investigation led to the arrest of a 17-year-old Big Rapids man who has been lodged at the Mecosta County Jail for Larceny from a Building.
4:08 p.m., officers investigate the Larceny of some gas in the 700 block of S. State. Suspect vehicle was a black Denali driven by an African-American man. Caller ran out of store but was unable to obtain registration.
5:37 p.m., officers respond to a trespassing complaint in the 1800 block of Milton, led to the arrest of a 22-year-old Paris man. The subject had been given a trespass warning by the city police on 4/15 and was found on the property again. He was transported to Mecosta County Jail.
9:02 p.m., property damage accident on Perry and S. State. A 16-year-old Big Rapids woman rear ended a 19-year-old Greenville man. She was cited for Failing to stop within an assured, clear distance.
2:26 a.m., officers investigate some disorderliness in the 800 block of Watertower. Officers responded to a complaint by the manager of customers arguing about the need to be quiet. This eventually led to them being told to leave, which they did without incident.

6:30 a.m., officers investigate a suspicious person in the 600 block of S. State.
9:48 a.m., officers respond to the 200 block of Rose, civil dispute between sisters screaming at each other, mom called us to shut them up, it worked both left prior to arrival.
11:16 a.m., officer report to the 300 block of N. 2nd, sometime during the night someone got into an open vehicle, rummaged through a purse and stole a gold cross encrusted with small diamonds.
11:18 a.m., officers investigate a malicious destruction of property complaint in the 700 block of Clark, some one is damaging the rain gutters.
6:29 p.m., officers respond to Maple and Third, some guy trying to sell weed to passerbys, GOA.
11:58 p.m., Area check for noise in the 100 block of Sanborn
12:17 a.m., officers Assist a subject in the 1800 block of Milton.
Wednesday April 21, 2010
9:41 p.m., officers respond to the 600 block of N State DWLS. A traffic stop led to a 36-year-old Big Rapids man being cited for Driving While License Suspended.
9:51 p.m., officer respond to the 400 block of N Third to investigate a Breaking and Entering complaint. A computer and some personal items were reported stolen.
11:03 p.m., officers respond to the 200 block of E Pine St. for a Harassment/threats complaint.
12:23 a.m., minor in possession of alcohol in the 700 block of Perry St, A 20-year-old woman was cited.
2:09 a.m., officers do an area check in the 500 block of Marion.
Thursday April 22, 2010
9:19 officers take a Breaking and Entering report in the 800 block of Country Way. The victim had a $1,600 diamond ring taken from her apartment while she was away.
11:34 a.m., officer respond to the 700 block of Tioga Park where the Shooting of a BB gun was taking place. An unknown complainant saw guys shooting a BB gun in Tioga Park. Officers were able to make contact with parties involved. They didn't know they couldn't do that up here in the country. A 20-year -old Otsego man was cited for a license violation.
11:47 a.m., officers report to the 600 block of S. Third Ave. for a personal property damage accident. An 85-year-old Bitely man was in line for the car wash, and backed into a 24-year-old Big Rapids woman. (Minor damage)
12:04 p.m., officer respond to a property damage accident on State and Pere Marquette. A 64-year-old Big Rapids man was NB on State turning left onto W. Pere Marquette and did not see the SB vehicle being driven by a 68-year-old Morley man.
3:14 p.m., officers do an area check for intoxicated men in the 400 block of S. Michigan using profane language.
4:23 p.m., officers do an area check for the shooting of a BB-gun in the 1800 block of Milton. A 12-year-old boy was apprehended.
5:28 p.m., officers respond to the 300 block of Morrison. A Breaking and Entering case turned into a suspicious - someones condoms had holes poked in them.
6:32 p.m., officer report to the 700 block of Rose. Subjects were on mini-bikes and go-carts racing down the sidewalk.
9:17 p.m., officers respond to Maple and Bjornson, a suspicious situation was turned over to FSUDPS.
9:08 p.m., officer respond to a parking lot in the 900 block of S. State. Kids were hanging out and a couple of them were drinking, one was peeing, and on probation.
10:09 p.m., officers report to the 500 Block of N. Michigan, dogs were barking.
10:13 p.m., officers do an area check in the 500 block of Marion.
11:07 p.m., a Noise complaint was made in the 300 block of Morrison.
12:06 a.m., A domestic disturbance was reported in the 700 block of N. Fourth resulted in the arrest of a 28-year-old man from of Big Rapids.
1:38 a.m., minor in possession of alcohol in the 200 block of Baldwin. A 19-year-old Cadillac man was cited and released.
1:47 a.m., A traffic stop in the 100 block of N. Bronson resulted in the arrest of a 24-year-old old man from Cheboygan for Operating While Intoxicated. |
