Anchorage Alaska - April 14, 2008, Thirty three year old rap artist Sean Sullivan, a resident of Anchorage was sentenced for his convictions of two counts of distribution of crack cocaine and one count of attempted distribution of crack.
According to an FBI press release and United States Attorney Frank Russo, Sullivan sold crack to a government informant on two occasions, and attempted to sell two and one half ounces of crack on another occasion. Back in 2004 Sullivan was arrested by the Anchorage Police when he threw two ounces of crack from his car window as he was being chased by the them.
The Judge in the case took these incidents into consideration when he gave Sullivan a ten year prison sentence. Other testimony indicated that Sullivan had been continuously dealing crack since 2003.
When Sullivan was arrested in November of 2007, he was packing a .223 Bushmaster semi-automatic assault rifle. After Sullivan received his sentence, he caused an outburst in the courtroom and two marshals had to restrain him.
Sullivan's recording name was "Joker the Bailbondsman" His rap songs included theme tiles such as "Money in a Ziplock Bag", "Sex Money Murder Drugs", and "Sub-Machine Guns".
United States Attorney Nelson P. Cohen commended the FBI Safe Streets Task force and the Anchorage Police Department for the investigation that led to the successful prosecution of Sean Sullivan A.K.A. Joker the Bailbondsman
