***On Tuesday, December 16, 2008, Big Rapids Department of Public Safety Officers responded to a complaint in the 400 block of South Michigan Ave.***According to a police log the father of one of the young men at the residence called the police to report that his son had been assaulted by his roommates.*** When Officers responded to the residence to take a report the young man refused to pursue the case.***Meanwhile, the roommates contacted the police department to give their sides of the story.***The young mans father then showed up from Lansing to move his son out of the residents.***While on scene the father allegedly confronted and threatened the roommates with a metal rod from a desk.***Now officers say everyone denies everything***The case was turned over to the city attorneys office for review.***Big Rapids .biz is your Big Rapids Michigan Online News Magazine.***Read more police logs in the Blotter section of the website.***

Man Beats Up 16 Year Old Girl At McDonalds For Her Spot In Line

 Los Angeles - Police search for a man who beat a teenage girl in the line at a South Los Angeles McDonald's on September 14, 2008.

 According to a press release, it was around 10:15 a.m. when a man 35-40 years old came into the McDonald's with two young boys and took cuts in-front of two teenage girls, the man then confronted one of the girls who was standing in line before him and a 16-year-old teenager who was a relative of the two girls, was standing about eight feet away and walked up to intervene.

 The 16-year-old girl then swore at the man and he made a fist and punched her in the face several times, the man then left the McDonalds with the two boys and took off in a red pick-up truck that had no license plates.
