Twenty six year old Marshon Dare - Charles Myers of Big Rapids was given two sentences of 16 months to 20 years in prison for two counts of delivering less than 50 grams of cocaine, Myers will pay $1510.10 in fines after his release.

Twenty two year old David Anthony Ross of Big Rapids pleaded guilty to fourth degree police officer fleeing, charges of possessing less than 25 grams of cocaine and driving on a suspended license will be dismissed.
Twenty two year old Charity Ann Mathews of Mecosta was sentenced to three months in jail for gross indecency between females, Mathews was placed on probation for five years and given $620.00 in fines.
Forty two year old William Anthony Sackett of Remus was sentenced to eight months in jail for gross indecency between a male and female, Sackett will have to pay a fine total of $3313.21 and serve five years probation.
Thomas Raymond Allaben of Evart was sentenced to four days in jail for delivering Marijuana, Allaben was also placed on probation for two years.
Twenty seven year old Andrew Thomas Bennett of Big Rapids was sentenced to 4 to 15 years in prison for his deeds at the Big Rapids Cinema, Bennett will also pay $4563.40 in fines.
Thirty six year old Lamont Simmons of Big Rapids was sentenced to nine months in jail for domestic violence and interfering with electronic communications. Simmons will pay a total fine in the amount of $1392.12
Forty two year old Kevin Jon Gilbert of Stanwood was sentenced to 2 months in jail for delivering Marijuana.
Twenty nine year old Lucas Joe Zajacskowski of Big Rapids was sentenced to sixty days in jail for probation violations.

Green Township Fire Investigation Green Township - The Mecosta County Sheriff's Department has been assisting the Big Rapids City Fire Department in the investigation of a trailer fire that took place in Green Township on Thursday, August 14, 2008.
According to Sargent Mike Mohr with the Mecosta County Sheriff's office, Investigators have located the point of origin and are still investigating the cause of the fire. The blaze was contained to a single bedroom.
