Kalamazoo Heroin Bust

Kalamazoo - Around 4:30 PM Wednesday, May 7, 2008,

 Kalamazoo Valley Enforcement Team served a search warrant at a house on Lane Blvd. in Kalamazoo.

The house is only a few hundred feet from a school called the Washington Writers Academy.

 Police officers arrested a 38 year old man at the house and found ten packages of heroin on his possession. The man lived in the house with his girlfriend and her four children, who were all present during the raid.

 The 38 year old man was charged with possession with the intent to deliver heroin, maintaining a drug house and selling controlled substances within 1000 feet of a school.
