Two Howard City Murder Suspects Arraigned | |||||||||||||

Howard City MI - On Monday, October 6, 2008 around 7:30 a.m. the Kent County Sheriff's Department was called to the 14000 block of Beardslee NE in Oakfield Township. According to Public Information Officer Kevin Kelley Deputies arrived on the scene and discovered the bodies of Robert and Norma Bean, both 66 years old. It appeared that the couple had been shot to death, both bodies were found in a gravel pit on the north side of Beardslee Rd. Police also received several 911 calls from residents in the area saying that they heard gun shots and saw suspicious people on foot in the area where the shooting took place. After canvassing the area for information deputies located two suspects at a near by party store and determined that they were involved in the homicide.
