The Sentencing Of Mitchell Theodore Bell

 Mecosta County MI 49th Circut Court - 19 year old Mitchell Theodore Bell of Big Rapids was originally charged with two counts of criminal sexual conduct, one a 10 year felony and the other a five year felony.

 Mitchell was the Ferris State University student that attempted to to rape a young woman as she was walking on a park trail by the river-walk on the afternoon of 09/18/07 in the north end of Big Rapids city park.

 Mitchell was on rollerblades when he attacked the 19 year old woman, she screamed and fought him off and he rollerbladed away.

 With the de scri ption she gave to the police, they were able to catch up with Mitchell a short time later, he was then taken to the Mecosta County Jail.

 Mitchell later pleaded guilty to one count of the crime, and on 11/26/07 he was sentenced to 18 months to 10 years in prison. 

 Bell is at the Boyer Road Correctional Facility in Carson City Michigan serving his sentence.
