A Barryton man who was sentenced last year in February for a charge of Embezzling, has been arrested again. This time the charges are for accosting a child for immoral purposes and assault and battery.
Forty year old Raymond G. Langford of Barryton is being accused of going into his neighbor's yard and trying to kidnap their seven year old daughter.
The incident was said to have taken place in November of 2007. It was not reported to the police until January of 2008. Langford was not arrested untill Wednesday April 2, 2008.
At his arraignment in Mecosta County's 77th District Court on Thursday April 3rd, Langford pleaded not guilty to the charges.
His bail was set at $100.000
UPDATE: On May 5, 2008, a written pretrial order was submitted and signed for Raymond G. Langford. He faces 4 years in prison for the accosting a child for immoral purposes charge and 93 day's in jail for the charge of assault and battery.
