Mecosta County Court - Twenty three year old Tyler Douglas Sikorski from Big Rapids stood in court wearing orange jail apparel pleading "no contest" to one count of 3rd degree home invasion at a settlement conference on June 9, 2008.
Sikorski's plea of "no contest" means that he will except the punishment but will not admit guilt. Sikorski was charged with two counts of 3rd degree home invasion back on April 12, 2008.
According to a court document Sikorski is an habitual offender, who was convicted of larceny of a motor vehicle in Mecosta County back in 2002 and the unlawful use of a motor vehicle in 2007.
In return for Sikorski's plea, the prosecution dismissed his habitual offender charges. Sikorski, who invaded two homes in the Big Rapids area, was sentenced to 14 months to 15 years in prison on July 07, 2008.
