As preliminary hearings began to bloom for Jonathan J. Good and Thomas Edward Nofsky Jr. in the 77th District Court Of Mecosta County. Seventeen-year old Alec Matthew Cove of Charlotte took the stand and told the court that he was working under the control of Jonathon Good when he and his co-defendants "Cody Lee Bodo", "Alexa Kay Zimmerman", "Thomas Edward Nofsky Jr"., and "Jonathan J. Good" committed multiple crimes in the Michigan area.
In exchange for his testimony, the prosecution dropped 20 of the 31 felony counts that Cove was charged with.
Alec Matthew Cove testified of a state wide crime spree with the "Good Gang". Saying that, he and other members of the gang committed about 100 robberies in the state of Michigan. According to Cove's testimony: he, Nofsky, Bodo and Good, went to the Korpal's house on the morning of March 24, 2008, to commit premeditated murder. Cove also said, he felt if he did not follow Jonathan Good's orders he would be killed. Cove said that one of his "Good Gang" duties was to google search the locations of all police stations and make maps of places to rob where it was not likely to be a police patrolled area.

On Wednesday October 14, 2009, eighteen year old Alec Matthew Cove, from Charlotte Michigan was sentenced as follows: 28-months and 15-days to 10-years for six counts of "breaking and entering with intent", 9 to 20-years for "first degree home invasion", 12 to 30-years for "armed robbery", 28-months and 15-days to 5-years for "unlawful driving away a motor vehicle", 12 to 30-years for "assault with intent to murder", and 9 to 20-years for "safe breaking". All sentences will run concurrent with each other. "This means that his sentences will run together with the old sentences". Cove will also have to pay $25,413.99 in fines and restitution.
