On Wednesday July 22, 2008, Prelim exams continued with the testimony of head teller Malissa Fish from the first bank in Canadian Lakes. Fish testified about what she saw on the morning of March 5, 2008, when she came to work and discovered that the bank had been broken into.
Fish stated that the first thing she noticed was the vault room door being ajar with the light on, she said the vault door had not been opened. This was the room where the vault is actually located. Also located in the the vault room is the night drop deposit box, Fish said she saw a stab mark in the wall above the drop box, she also testified that the DVR that records video surveillance was missing and the back door to the bank looked like it had been pried open, all the teller drawers were scattered on the floor and the coins were missing.
Detective Casy Nemeth testified that when he came out to investigate the robberies at the Canadian Lakes Plaza he found that the outside phone box that supplied telephone lines to all the stores in the plaza was damaged.
On Thursday July 23, 2008, the preliminary hearings continued as Good gang member Alec Matthew Cove took the stand and testified that he, Good, Nofsky and Bodo, drove to Mike and Teresa Korpal's home in Morley to kill the Korpal's because of some items that Thomas Nofsky left inside the Korpal's Van that could incriminate them. During Cove's testimony he stated, he felt pressured to obey Jonathan Good's orders and Good would kill anyone who ever snitched or testified against him. Seventeen year old Alec Matthew Cove also told the court that one of his duties was to use Google to make maps of areas where it would be less likely for police to be patrolling, he did this by marking the location of police departments in the area and picking places to rob that were far away from the police department.
Friday July 24, 2008, Almost a no~show and just as the court was preparing to issue a bench warrant for her arrest, Tiffany Jury takes the stand and testifies about her intimate friendly affair with Jonathan Good, she stated that she met Jonathon Good through her boy friend who was a tenant of one of Jonathan Good's many rental property's. Jury said within weeks after meeting Good their relationship became intimate. At times during her testimony, Tiffany Jury wiped tears from her eyes and lashed out at Prosecutor Peter Jaklevic and tried not to answer some of his questions.
Jury who was granted immunity from prosecution for her testimony, stated that she worked as a look out while Jonathan Good and Thomas Nofsky committed the robbery of a store. She then told the court that shortly after she was released from jail for drug related charges and not long before Jonathan Good was arrested by the Mecosta County Sheriff's Department for the March 24th Morley shooting, Good asked her if she could help him unload a couple of firearms that might be "dirty".
Prosecutor Jaklevic asked Jury if she remembered telling Detective Casey Nemeth in an interview that there was as many as 50 people working for Good in his criminal enterprises and that Good had all the brains and resources, Jury responded by saying no "I said, he was very intelligent and a good leader." Tiffany Jury also told sheriff's detectives that Jonathan Good would answer his phone by saying "Good Electronics" and that was his front.
