Thirty eight year old Brenton Louis Boudreau of Flushing was sentenced two 13 months to 10 years in prison for Breaking and Entering a church, "Chapel of the Lakes Lutheran Church" in the village of Mecosta. Boudreau received 150 days jail credit, and will pay fines in the amount of $1022.23.
According to Sargent Detective Drew Nielsen from the Mecosta County Sheriff's Office, Boudreau was from Flint Michigan and had ties to the Mecosta County area. Boudreau's involvement in the August 2007 break-in at the Chapel of the Lakes Lutheran Church, was discovered by a diligent investigation after sheriff detectives submitted physical evidence from the crime scene to the Michigan State Police crime lab that ultimately linked Boudreau to the break-in which lead to his guilty plea in the 49th Circuit Court in this case.
