Man That Exposed Himself At The Big Rapids Wal-Marts Pleads Guilty

 Big Rapids Township - Around 1:00 p.m. on  Saturday May 10, 2008 Mecosta County Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to the Big Rapids Wal-Mart where it was reported that a man walked up to a nine year old girl in the toy aisle and exposed himself.  

 The child's father called the police on his cell phone as he followed the man out of the store and into the woods between the Isabella bank and Meijers.

 Shortly after, Mecosta County Sheriff Deputies arrested 56 year old Stephen James Smith a registered sex offender by the Fashion Bug.

Update 49th Circuit Court of Mecosta County - According to a court document Smith pleaded guilty on November 17 , 2008 to one count of aggravated indecent exposure. One other count will be dismissed and 8 days that Stephen Smith spent in a treatment program will count against any jail time he receives.

Smith has a sentencing set for December 29, 2008.
