Big Rapids - On Monday December 8, 2008, Eighteen year old Alexa Kay Zimmerman of Charlotte Michigan pleaded guilty to six counts of "breaking and entering a building", and an amended count of "2nd degree home invasion".
In an exchange for Zimmerman's plea, the Mecosta County Prosecutor's office agreed to dismiss three counts of "felony firearms", two counts of "armed robbery", one count of "unlawfully driving away a vehicle" and one count of "safe breaking".
The Prosecution recommend a three year cap on Zimmerman's minimum sentence. She is also eligible for prison boot-camp. At her sentencing on Wednesday October 14, 2009. Alexa Kay Zimmerman was given 3 to 10-years in prison for six counts of "breaking and entering with intent", and 2 to 15-years for one count of "2nd degree home invasion". Zimmerman will also have to pay $24,257.99 in fines and restitution. Her sentence's will run consecutively, which means her sentences will run one after the other.
Update - On 07/07/2010 Alexa Kay Zimmerman was released on parole. Her supervision will end on 01/07/2012.
