Danny Lee Bell Cuts Plea Deal

 A joint investigation involving the Michigan State Police, the FBI and law enforcement in Florida led to Bell's arrest. On Monday, February 02, 2009, forty four year old Danny Lee Bell of Big Rapids was in court pleading guilty to one count of possession of child sexually abusive material.

 One count of distributing or promoting child sexually abusive activity and one count of computer Internet communicating with another to commit a crime was dismissed, in an exchange for Bell's plea.

 One of the charges dismissed for Bell, stated that he used a computer to communicate with an under cover police officer "who he thought was a minor" for the purpose of committing the offense of distributing child sexually abusive material.

Danny Lee Bell will be back in court on March 23, 2009, for a sentencing.

 Update - On March 23, 2009, Bell was sentenced to 30 days on a tether for one count of "possession of child abusive material". Bell who pleaded guilty to the crime on February 4, 2009, will spend 60 months on probation, pay $620.00 in fines, $1800.00 for probation supervision fees and has already registered as a sex offender.
