49th Circuit Court Of Mecosta County
Forty-five-year-old Joseph Frank Vulpetti from Stanwood was sentenced to 13-months to 7-years in jail for "Manufacturing/Possession with Intent to Deliver 5-45 Kilograms of Marijuana."
Thirty-five-year-old Charles Edward Gross Jr. from Big Rapids pleaded guilty to one count of "Misdemeanor Stalking," he might be sentenced on March 15, 2010.
Forty-nine-year-old Sarah Kay Hayner from Felch MI. was sentenced to 6-months in jail for one count of "Forgery" and 6-months in jail for one count of "Motor Vehicle Unlawful Drive Away." Hayner will pay $3065.27 in fines and spend 12-months on probation.
Thirty-eight-year-old Ana Hilda Torres-Hernandez from Big Rapids pleaded "no contest" to a charge of "Financial Transaction Device - Possession." Three other charges were dismissed in her case and prosecutors are recommending time served. Hernandez might be sentenced on March 15, 2010.

Forty-five-year-old Edward Theodore Corbett Jr. from Big Rapids was sentenced to 16-months to 7-years and 6-months in prison for a charge of "Aggravated Stalking." Corbett was convicted of "Operating-Under the Influence/Occupant Less Than 16-2nd" in Newaygo County in the year of 2000, "Uttering & Publishing" in Kent County in 1992, and "Escape, Jail or Attempt While Serving" in Kent County in 1992. In Mecosta County Corbett was also convicted of "Operating Intoxicated/Impaired/Controlled Substance - 3rd" in the year of 2008. |
| Forty-one-year-old Murad Haneef Shahid from Mt. Morris MI. was sentenced to 365-days in jail for one count of "Identity Theft." Shahid was given $628.00 in fines and has a previous five count conviction of "1st Degree Retail Fraud" from Oakland County in 2007, a two count conviction of Controlled Substance-Possess Narcotic/Cocaine < 25 Grams and a conviction of "Unlawfully Driving Away an Automobile" in 1991 in Genesee County. |

Twenty-three-year-old Kyle Lee Major from Big Rapids pleaded guilty to one charge of "Controlled Substance Delivery of Marijuana and to a District court file of charge of "Retail Fraud." Both sentences will run concurrent with each other and his sentencing might take place on March 15, 2010.
