49th Circuit Court Of Mecosta County
Thirty-two-year-old Gary Allan Hagstrom from Cadillac MI, appeared from jail to court with his attorney Mr. Samuels and pleaded guilty to a charge of "Retail Fraud - First Degree." (did while at Kmart alter the price of a product with the intent to pay less than the price: being more than $200.00 but less than $1000.00.) Prosecutors have dismissed a "Habitual Offender 4th Notice" and are recommending an 18-month minimum cap on Hagstrom's incarceration. A sentencing might take place for Hagstrom on April 26, 2010 and he has waived his right to have the same judge sentence him. Hagstrom has past convictions of Retail Fraud - 1st Degree, Controlled Substance-Possess Analogues, Domestic Violence, and Receiving Stolen Property Over $100 - Attempt. Twenty-eight-year-old Kristopher Bruce Ducat from Stanwood pleaded guilty to one count of "Breaking and Entering - A Building With Intent" (a storage shed on 30th avenue). A Habitual Offender Notice will be dismissed and Ducat might be sentenced on May 3, 2010.
Eighteen-year-old Christopher Michael Pledger from Big Rapids was sentenced to 30-days in jail for "Larceny In A Building." (stealing a portable play station from an entertainment establishment) Pledger was found guilty of the crime on February 23, 2010. He will have to pay $1014.15 in fines and spend 24-months on probation.

Twenty-two-year-old Nicole Mary Hernandez from Big Rapids was sentenced to 1-year and 3-months to 5-years in prison for "Retail Fraud - First Degree" (stole property from JC Penny that was for sell at a price more than $200.00 but less than $1000.00).
