Allegan County Michigan News - 61-year-old Richard Garland was rescued today after his 12-foot fishing boat overturned on the Kalamazoo River near M-89 east of Fennville.  According to Lt. Frank Baker from the Allegan County Sheriff's Department, Garland was able to swim to shore and utilize his cell phone to call for assistance.
