A Bay County woman was in court where she pleaded guilty to a charge of attempted assault with a dangerous weapon after being accused of threatening a man with her car outside the Bay County Jail house.
According to the Bay City Times, 38-year-old Tracy Barnard said she drove her daughter in her 1993 Chevrolet Corsica to the Bay County Jail on August 10th, to pick up her daughter's ex-boyfriend, Robert Poirier, for his release, but when the two woman arrived, Poirier was leaving on foot with friends.
After an altercation, the two woman followed after the men, and one of the men somehow fell and hurt his knees and ankle, according to the Bay City Times.
The injured man, Michael Tough, told police that Barnard hit him with her car, but Barnard claims that Tough was injured when he tripped, and she only used her car to intimidated him by inching it toward him; acting like she was going to hit him, she said.
The Bay City Times said Barnard is free on bond and has a sentencing scheduled for April 16th.
