Edwardsburg MI News - One man is in critical condition, and another is behind bars today after a shooting took place at a home in Mason Township yesterday afternoon.
Sheriff's deputies say the shooting took place in a garage of a home in the 70000 block of 5 Points Road around 12:05 PM.
According to a news release, 40-year-old Kevin Vint from Elkhart IN, allegedly had an altercation with 44-year-old Trevor Clair of Edwardsburg MI, while the two were visiting at the home.
Deputies believe that Vint used a handgun and shot Clair twice, and say their were witnesses to the shooting. Clair was taken to Memorial Hospital in South Bend Indiana by ambulance, and as of today remains in critcal condition.
Kevin Brian Vint was taken to the Cass County Jail where he was arraigned today in the Fourth District Court on charges of attempted murder, assault with intent to commit murder and using a firearm in the commission of a felony.
Vint's bond was set at $300,000.00, and he remains incarcerated at the Cass County Jail.
The Michigan State Police assisted the Sheriff's Department at the crime scene.
