February 5th, 2012 ShareEdwardsburg MI News - The Ontwa Township Edwardsburg Police is releasing information about an Unlawful Entry and Minor Drinking Party activity on South Shore Drive the Eagle Lake Yacht Club. Chief Kenneth Wray reports that his officers were sent to investigate a parking problem in the area of Eagle Lake Marina. Upon further investigation it was found that the parking problem was caused by a rather large gathering at the Eagle Lake Yacht Club. Further the investigation showed that there were about 50 to 60 Minors had gained unlawful entry into the Yacht Club and covered the windows so that no light could be seen from outside the building. Most of the Alcohol was provided by individuals as they arrived at the party. No adults were present. 30 Minors were charged with possession of alcohol. The Minor that held the party is being charged with Unlawful entry and other violations, along with an individual that drove through the fence getting away. Information about the party was posted on FACEBOOK as to the time and location of the party. Most of the Minors were from the Granger Area with a few from South Bend Indiana and Mishawaka, Indiana.
