Lansing Boy Killed After Being Hit By A Pickup Truck In Ludington

 Ludington MI News - The Mason County Sheriff's Office says a 14-year-old boy has been killed after being hit by a truck yesterday morning.

 Deputies said Darius Vanbrook from Lansing was trying to cross US-10 when he was hit by a pickup truck driven by an off-duty sheriff's department corrections officer.

 According to a news release, the boy had just got out of a vehicle before trying to cross the road on US-10 near Ludington. The officer who hit the boy was treated at the emergency room at a nearby hospital and released.
